Fire and brimstone....part 2, final

Raizhadik was filled with more rage and acid was splurging from his body, acid that began to fall off onto the ground.

"Forgotten, I think not. My name will be remembered for many years to come I will be remembered as the one that defeated your race and destroyed Anuire once and for all. Just like the rest of them, you fear me mortal, and in the end you wwill feel my wrath and live in eternal darkness forever.”

Raizhadik extended his wings and made another loud screech. The buildings began to crumble and massive cracks on the floor turned into rifts that consumed many in their bowels. Hundreds of goblins servants and slaves of the Dark Prince, Raesene began to slip through the cracks on the walls and the rifts of the eart. One by one they entered the city of Bevalduor like an army of ants, marching to an oblivious end, they made their way towards the Mhor and his army.

"Heroes, tonight we live or die as heroes and we fight for all those loved ones we wish to protect. Heroes it's been an honor. Michael shouted waiting for the minions to come towards him. Another crack started to happen and the statue of Haelyn that was located in the middle of the great acropolis began to crumble and fall. The walls that surrounded the city and the main keep began to crumble and Bevalduor was quickly being destroyed. The minions began to attack the defending army over-riding them and pushing them back. Sir Reeve Oudin looked around to see the destruction that was being caused. Some of his fellows were dying, screaming in pain for help and some of them even running away in fear. "Help me" shouted a man being over-run by the minions. The walls of the acropolis was crumbling and was close to breaking. Reeve made his way over the gate to the seat of Bevalduor, the ancient elven acropolis, untouched by enemies for centuries, since it was given to the humans, to the tribe of the Mhora, when they first settled the north of Anuire,  just in time as it began to split apart.

"Greffor" he shouted.

Greffor looked over towards Reeve and then looked down to see the main gate breaking. He began to try make his way towards the main force of the defenders who were cut off, but one of the goblins  grabbed his leg and a dozen more swarmed the aged Commander, stopping him from falling back.
It was getting hard for Reeve to see as the smoke from the buildings were covering his eyes blocking most of his view and the rain was heavy as ever.

"Feel my pain, my agony; you will all fall beneath my wrath!"

Hundreds of humans were still valiantly fighting to defend the capital of Mhoried. Michael used his sheer force and power to knock back the goblins that were trying to attack him as he looked up at Raizhadik was circling the acropolis. Ignoring the danger that was imminent around him he shouted "Fight me beast!"

"How dare you challenge me? Your death awaits you Mhor but for now you must feel the suffering that I once suffered, see your children die, your people extinct."

Raizhadik breathed in his fire while acid was surging throughout his entire body. He turned his attention towards Reeve whom was consumed by the battle, a pile of dead goblins were surrounding him and he was now clutching his longsword with both arms. In the fray Reeve felt the uneasy gaze of the beast upon him. Michael was already shouting for Reeve to move out the way but before Reeve could do anything Raizhadik unleashed the melting fire that surged inside him. The fire came quickly towards him as he awaited his fate with more courage than fear. Reeve Oudin, son of Beleam Oudin, Guardian of Mhoried was in seconds Incinerated.

Bevalduor was much now of a broken city, only valiant heroes fighting for survival against the beast’s  attack. Buildings, monuments, and homes that had been known to many over the years in a matter of minutes turned into a tom, broken city with nothing but pain and suffering of the many  dead innocent lives. The sky was still dark and grey and the rain was still pounding down viciously on the stone floor, thunder and lightning still roared furiously.
Raizhadik looked down at the destruction and yelled. “Anuire will fall Mhor, nor you or anyone else will stop the outcome of my wrath.”

The Mhor raised “Defender” and with the adrenaline pumping all over his body he turned the sword decapitating one of the goblins heads as it was running towards him. Looking down at the minion falling to the floor thousands of regrets started to run through his mind as it turned into nothing but darkness. As he walked through the battle, he was slaying goblins from what-ever direction that they came from, he made his way towards the gate that had been broken and witnessed Raizhadik in his human form on the other side of the broken gate looking towards at him.

“Your life ends here, Mhor" Raizhadik said.
Michael kept his eyes glued onto Raizhadik and raised a smirk outright.

“You are right, it does end here Neshazar, your master will pay for this."

Raizhadik angrily heard the name that the Mhor called him by, a name in which tor years he tried to diminish from the name given to him by the Gorgon.

"How dare you call me by that name? I do not by that name; my new name is more superior, more fierce and before this night ends you will see darkness fall down upon your realm, and all will bow down to me. “
Michael raised another smirk and using his forearm he wiped the blood that was dripping vigorously from his forehead. He didn't even say anything but his facial expressions was already doing the speaking for him. Hoisting his sword up in the air he pointed it towards Raizhadik and tilted his head up high.
"Then tonight one of us shall die."
Raizhadik nodded. "Tonight you will die in vain, and everyone you know shall be slaughtered, this will be your demise.”
Raizhadik raised his arms and began to transition back into dragon form. Michael waited on as the bast flew Into the air making a loud screech. Bevalduor slowly began to crumble even more as acid was pooring out of the beast and fell down onto the ground. Michael gripped using both his hands on his sword and began to raise It waiting for the beast. Behind him came Commander Greffor who survived when the gate fell, and Nemetor Aesan, many more surviving members of the guards and soldiers of the Mhor. Another thundering shattered again by another quick succession of lighting that flashed straight after.
Raizhadik laughed looking down at the heroes. "My Mhor we are here till the end" said Commander Greffor, Michael nodded. Michael along with the heroes awaited their fate as the beast began to breathe in again while acid begun to surge up his body. Michael looked up at the sky as the thunder shattered again. Raizhadik breathed out his fire the same time a quick flash of lighting happened.

Fire coerced with acid plunged down with tremendous speed and horrid accuracy towards the group gathered atop the acropolis. Suddenly the combined propertied of fire and acid rained alongside the group of heroes as the rain that fell off the heaven itself.

"What is this?"

Michael raised his sword and in one spectacular move threw the sword towards the beast that was already nearing them with double speed. The sword plunged through Into the body of the great beast. Raizhadik used immense strength to pull his enormous body back up to the air and with a swoop almost immediately began to fall down, some miles away in the valley that still stood at the northern exit of the city. His body fell hard upon the tree line razing the small valley to mere collection of torn wood and dust.

"Is it over?" one of the guards shouted.

No one said a word but waited anxiously. Everything seemed to have stopped as If time had stood still and everyone was just waiting for something to happen. In a split of a second Michael held his arm high to warn the rest of the army to stay bade as he began to slowly walk over the northern side of the acropolis of Bevalduor. The rain was beginning to ease down and the thunder seemed to strike no more. Michael looked down towards the valley the beast had crushed landed. The place was wrecking with smoke and fire, as the acid from the body of the beast razed the ground turning it to black ash. The beast seemed stale.  Michael turned bade around to see Greffor and Nemetor and the rest of the battered army waiting for him to proclaim them the news that the beast had been defeated.

Before he could say anything the land began to shake lightly as if an earthquake was coming on, the surviving rocks of Shieldhaven began to crumble once more falling on the ground that they were
situated in. Raizhadik arose from the ground with acid and black ash swirled in a cloud all around him, he gave another loud screech showing his prominence and power with the rain beginning to pour
from the grey, torn sky and the thundering once again began to erupt as if the destruction was starting all over again.
"To the death?” asked Commander Greffor.
Michael turned his head slightly turning his attention away from the beast looking back at
the people that stood before him. He saw one young guard holding onto his sword but trying to keep his nerves together. Michael put his hand on the young guards shoulder and closed to whisper range. “Do not be afraid to die my son.”  The young guard slowly began to stop shaking as if a black cloud had finally been released and the fear had gone. He looked up at Michael and mumbled the words "Thank you my Mhor”.
As another rift started to emerge the ancient acropolis began to split into two, with some of the guards falling down into the cracks. Michael jumped off the edge of a rift into steady ground as he could see “Defender” being swallowed by the earth itself. As he looked around he saw fallen guards, soldiers that had died from the hands of beast. Even while he was trying to get to his sword he could hear the battle that was commencing from above and although he hated leaving his people he knew he had to reclaim his sword. Searching through the dirt and debris still holding his nerves together he saw his ancestral family weapon dug down right into the dirt. He gripped his right hand on the handle of the sword and pulled it out of the dirt. As he looked up he could see the fire that was scorching from Raizhadik as
the guards were screaming in pain and agony. He rose back up to the top and put his hand on some rubble and began to climb his way up. The rubble began to weaken and Michael began to lose his footing and just as he was about to fall Nemetor Aesan gripped his hand and pulled him up.
Acid was surging viciously from the beasts body as he began to breathe in the fire and unleashed it towards the heroes. Michael watched on and saw Commander Greffor and the rest of the guards fighting off the goblins. As most of the guards were dying off and Greffor was desperately trying to keep the goblins from overwhelming them,  the fire had already done so. Most of them were screaming in pain and began to fall on the ground, eventually been swallowed by the rifts  trying to get the scorching fire off them.
"It's over", said Nemetor. "We must fight till the end, no matter what", replied Michael.

Michael and the aged defender of the Empire, Nemetor Aesan began to make their way through the acropolis side by side, passing the destruction that was going on near-by. As they walked past they could still hear the screaming going. As they walked through the grounds they made it into the remains of the seat of power for the Mhor, the ancient throne of Elven craftsmanship that still stood in one place.
Nemetor looked up at the throne that was half broken and made his way into it.
"I'll stay out and defend your people." said Nemetor even though he knew that he alone could not defeat Raizhadik or his minions. Michael walked up the long hallway he shut his eyes and reminisced the times In which his wife died, he let out a quite prayer to Haelyn, he knew Ondine was already long gone, and now safe, his daughter, his little girl, she had to live, to survive, to become a Mhora.
Behind him he could hear Nemetor Aesan fight off the minios of the dragon and in a few seconds after that he heard the sword of lord Aesan drop on the stone floor. It was now only him that was left walking up to his throne with the minions now entering. The Mhor sat upon his throne and placed the his sword beside him. Raizhadik walked upon the throne room with his hundreds of minions by his side as he stood just a distance away from Michael, having assumed his human form.

"You have failed, and now you must meet your demise"
"I lived as a Mhor and I shall die as a Mhor. You will be defeated beast in time you will begin to realise  that you are not as powerful as you think you are.”
Raizhadik transformed into his dragon form as Michael watched on. The buildings that surrounded began to crumble but Michael did not move, nor spoke, he kept looking up at the great beast. Michael was prepared for his fate as he watched the beast breathing in fire with acid surging around his body and in a flash of a second fire erupted. As the river of liquid fire came towards Michael sat on his throne he closed his eyes accepting his fate.

"Let this day be marked as the day that not only the Mhor has been dethroned, but  as the day Anuire will reek under the fear of Raizhadik the Destroyer"
